I got all my boxes checked off even my Hep B shot.........

Do we have to nominate and complete the favorite teacher form? I don't feel like doing this because I don't have 1 favorite teacher that helped me through my high school life. I had 2-3 teachers(physics, english, calculus) that helped me do well in school during the tough times of the application process.

I don't want to complete the form to show favoritism because it would not be nice/fair for my physics teacher to get the award while the other 2 (english, math teacher) didn't get it even though they stayed after class to tutor me and such. So, is the form mandatory?

yessssss i got my hep b checked off! anywayz i did the teacher nomination thing just so i can get another checkbox hahaha. i doubt it actually contacts ur teacher and gives him/her an award.

yeah UCSD sends like a framed paper certificate to the teacher at that school....one of my teachers got it last year from a past senior who was in her class that made it to UCSD.....it had like a golden seal with the UCSD logo on it.....with teaching excellence on it...

I think UCSD hates me....transcripts still not validated and Hep B. not checked off even though I sent it a while ago.....at least my admission isn't cancelled (yet), i guess?

UCSD's Outstanding Teacher Recognition Program was initiated in the spring of 1996 by the Office of Admissions and Outreach as a way of showing appreciation to the high school teachers who work hard to instill a lifelong love of learning in their students. Each spring, students who accept UCSD's offer of admission are given the opportunity to nominate a teacher who had a strong, positive academic influence on their lives.

In 2000, the university received over 2,600 nominations for more than 2,100 teachers from around the world. Each teacher was awarded a certificate of recognition and a letter from UCSD Chancellor.
