Bump … Any1

After a few minutes of research, I think you’re likely to have a pretty good range of options. Converting CBSE percentages straight to the GPA system apparently doesn’t work too well; the first reaction some of us would have to your scores is probably not valid or accurate. I’d recommend you take a look at this site, which has more information targeted to your background.

And you can search here for colleges where your test scores are competitive and the program you desire is offered.

There are some good guidelines on this thread that will help you determine what is a “safety.”
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/731257-what-good-process-finding-safety-schools.html

Note: Read the thread. Don’t leap over there and post a message asking someone to give you a list of safeties, matches, and reaches based on your stats.

One thing that’s not going to work well for you (as I think you may have discovered by now) is posting a large number of “urgent” messages on the Internet asking random strangers to conduct your search for you, to the point that you expected someone to provide you with a list of colleges including their median test scores and admission rates (but “graciously” told him to take as much time as he needed to do so). That kind of approach will strike many of us in the US as self-centered and presumptuous at best – and also annoying.

I’m generalizing, of course, but you will see evidence of this in the responses you received on your duplicate thread in the “International Students” forum – and in any responses you may receive to the 50 or so “urgent” threads you started in college-specific forums. In our eyes, that’s not “research” – it’s expecting strangers, who have no obligation to you, to drop everything and do your work for you. Some kind souls will give it a try for a while; most, when they see that their generosity is met with requests for more and more, will drop off. The culture here is based more on the principle of “helping those who help themselves.” (On the Internet, this is often summarized by the phrase, “Google is your friend.” ;))

Also, a tip for later… When you finally get to your US college, please read everything the college offers on plagiarism and citation guidelines with great care and attention. The rules are different in American universities, or so my Indian students have told me. This has been a major cultural adjustment for most of my students from India, and the consequences can be severe.

Best wishes to you for your search!
