<p>all sorts of tv shows and movies film all the time on campus, but for some reason I always seem to miss out and be real busy whenever there are celebrities around :)</p>
<p>son was at summer session last summer and they were filming ghost whisperer. I told him to go ask whats her name out but he was too shy.</p>
<p>HImom - can you say more about the Great Outdoors floor? Is there an emphasis on getting out to hike, camp, ski, etc.? That would be a real plus for my son.</p>
<p>I believe folks are supposed to specifically apply to be placed there (my S just lucked out & ended up there). They have at least one field trip every semester. They went on a camping trip in the fall & then a skiing trip in the spring. The dorm arranged & paid for everything, I believe. Folks on the floor are supposed to write in their application that they enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, surfing, etc., so they can meet & live with like-minded folks. There is a floor of males & a floor of females that participate in the activities. That's about all I know. My S seems to have enjoyed living there & I was glad that dorm had these two activities, especially the camping trip w/in the 1st month of the school year & the skiing w/in a month after returning from winter break.</p>
