*All Econ / Biz-Econ Admits to UCLA FALL 2008*

What was your GPA? I know the average is about 3.82 but I just wanted to know if anybody got in with a lower gpa then that.

Would like to know this as well and if you were TAP certified.

Yes, also please state whether you were TAP certified. And if possible of you held a job or not.

TAP - 3.77 - Job full time

Is the job business related at all?

Tap - 3.65

yeah i ran my own business. it was both business and community service.

tap 3.85 part time job

no tap, 3.72

I know a person with pretty poor ECs, less than 3.7. only work as a tutor in school (not much though), no club, no tap .... but still got in ! ( I don't think he has an effective essay because his English is even worse than mine). This condition also happen in other school such as Haas (it's just somehow better, but it still happens). In my experience, your luckiness play a BIG role in the admission process.

really...he has worse english than "luckiness"?
HAHAHA

omg... luckinesss....priceless!

sdragon, his english might be worse than urs but he might have taken his essay to a prof get it furnished up nice and sparkly ^ - ^ who knows

tap - 3.85

Guardiangel, he took all easy professor, so I don't think his professors could bring a big different to his essay. In addition, in my experience, except for professional instructors who focus on writing personal statement, VERY few English professors in community college know how to write an effective PS.
