All FRESHMAN to this thread please.

I remember in ninth grade, a teacher told us to expect at least a half an hour’s worth of homework every night per class, equaling 3 and a half hours of hw a night. I took all honors courses and only had about 30 minutes every night, maybe an hour if there was a project due the next day. So yeah, don’t stress out and don’t mess up your GPA too much.

How much difference are there between 8th grade and 9th grade workload if you took the highest level available for every subject?

wow this is crazy. a, my school won’t LET you take ap classes your sophomore year. b, there are other legit non-honors electives besides band & choir - newspaper, for example. c, take the classes that you are going to enjoy and don’t freak out about college, like everyone on here does.

I had a lot more work in 8th grade.

ThisCouldBeHeavn,
really because 8th grade for me is seroiusly only 30mins a day, unless there is a major project, maybe 1 or 2 hrs, i procrastinate a lot, lol.
But i am ready to change that habit.
My counselors, teachers and parents keep telling me that 9th grade will be like 10x harder but i don’t believe them.
So, according to your experience they are “bragging” , right?

no, not bragging…

9th grade isn’t much work. A lot of teachers try to wean you into high school.
