all girl floors

so while filling out my housing like two months ago my mother was standing over my shoulder and when i got to co-ed or all girl floors i had to pick all girl. was this a mistake? i feel like it will be fine being on an all girl floor but i afraid it will limit me in meeting guy friends. or i might just be making too much out of this.

any help?

i live in an all-girls dorm (jameson on douglass), and I had somewhat of a hard time meeting guy friends. but my dormmates seemed to have plenty of guy friends that they met at parties and through clubs (plays, mainly) and such. and they are much more outgoing than I am, so that’s probably why they had better luck finding guy friends. so it really depends on the person and what they do. but i did find it easier to make friends and become close with my dormmates since we’re all girls, and we all got along pretty well.

so it’s not too big of a deal. i actually prefer living with all girls than guys. the dorm’s more tidy, not quite as loud, and there is more of a sense of community in my dorm than there is at my friends’ dorms that are co-ed.
