How many times does this happen to a normal cadet?

legit all nighters, none if we plan. i'd say for a normal cadet, maybe once, but that usualy means you had priorities or time management messed up

haven't had one yet.

complete all nighter? never
Nights with less than 3 hours of sleep--a couple times per semester
Nights with less than 1 hour of sleep--twice, so far (don't do this!)

Understand, I have less of an aversion to late nighters than most people.

ok, disclaimer-i'm a 4° n6t even halfway through the first semester. this is important, 1 because we freshmen definitely have the easiest academic work load, and 2, I've only had 1 GR in each of my respective classes as of yet.

That being said, I usually go to bed a little after 10 every night. Like now, I'm checking up on my email and favorite forum before I hit the pillows. This is abnormal, but it's definitely possible. Many of my classmates in my squad stay up late instant messaging, browsing facebook, etc., but they're definitely not up doing homework unless they were doing the above earlier in the day when the should've been doing homework.

I've had some late nights (3 papers due in one day), but that was my fault.

so anyway, there's the doolie's perspective :D

I must say my 4 dig year was about like that. I got to go to bed early and the work load wasn't ridiculous.

Last year, I wasted a decent amount of time and generally went to sleep around 12. This year I'm usually in bed by Taps (10:45), and earlier if I'm heading to the airfield in the morning. I still put in a late night every once in a while. I was up until 2:30 one night last week studying for GRs, and I'm usually up at least that late during Finals Week. Interestingly, I've found that the whole "don't cram, just get enough rest" thing is definitely not the best policy.

i go to sleep at a decent time as well. I barely have any homework to do this semester and my schedule (1st and 2nd off both M and T days) makes the workload here really easy hehe. However, next semester will suck :D

yep, next semester is the death of me. right now, i find myself wasting alot of time, but since i've got 1-4 off on T days, i can normally catch up. i go to bed between 11 and 12 most nights, but could be earlier. and i'm doin pretty good in classes.. but, like i said, next semester is a different story

my problem is my roommates. They are so loud and noisy. everybody has to come into our room all night. so i can't get any work done until they go to bed at 11. So then i stay up until 1-2 doing all my homework. it really sucks. but I'm doing better this week.

Use the library, helps a lot.

You can also use the 6th floor to take a power nap.

y so far, 4th does the job! :)

thats cause i'm not there yet to catch you all!

lol. i find the library helpful if you have only one class period off, as long as you don't stay in the main entrance where all of the 4 digs sit and chat and make a lot of noise. the computer lab is usually really quiet

viper, i know it's strange, but i use earplugs to help with the roommate issue. i have 2 who have different people in here literally every night. earplugs are the best! :)

I used to do all-nighters a few times a year:

16 of us would play Halo 1 until 10 a.m.

Wow, it sounds so nerdy now... Man it was fun.

Viper...
slip some ambien into their water... ;)

Careful, I go to the 6th floor often to study. I'm not someone you want to be caught by. ;)

I bet he couldnt catch me...

I got a uniform inspection by my coach today while I slept on my floor by the bed...

I got 100% and a 90% room inspection, said there was a 4 dig on the floor. ;)

well as long as you wake me up peacefully we won't have any problems.

LOL JK

I find a hard kick to the chair is the best way, jolts the whole body.
