All the Answers for Oct.SAT Guyz

wdrmhbs - it’s believed to be so, but I am not sure. The story itself didn’t seem hard to me. I had troubles with locating errors in two sentences, one with Helen of Troy and the other about the old author whose books are published in English and translations, whichever section it was.

Yeah I didn’t think the story was too difficult either. Now that you say that, I do remember having problems with a sentence about Helen of Troy haha

I think the answer to that one sentence completion was dearth and mysterious. The sentence was something like “Because of the ________ of books written about Louisa Alcott, she remains __________, an inscrutable personality.”

So dearth…mysterious makes sense.

no it was although. it was although there is a ___________of books written…she remains…

it wasn’t because

i really bombed this test.

yeah, it was although there was a ____ of books. and it was greta garbo, not louisa may alcott.

hahah how do you guys remmeber this

photographic memory.
… either that, or we were so trautmatized it’s impossible to forget.

it was profusion and something else.

yeah, profusion and enigma.

enigma i believe is the word you are seeking

It still seems like dearth…mysterious could fit in there too though, maybe I’m just not understanding it correctly haha

it was enigma.

dearth means scarce. although there is a scarce number of books, her life remains inscrutable? The although indicates it has to be abundance or something

yeah. i agree.

Oh yeah duh! It’s two-way not one-way

of course. that’s where they trick you.

1)Does anybody remember the answer to the sentence completion question that had an answer choice, “sedulous.” The question was talking about squandering money or something.

2) Does anybody remember the sentence completion question with “avuncular”?

3) Is it power of sea or fear of men?

4) In the history passage, what was the answer to the first question that had an answer choice with “using important precedents to solve problems” or something

5) was “expedient” an answer to one of the questions?

I don’t think avuncular was an answer to anything.

the correct answer to the “sedulous” one was “improvident”. it talked about a guy who did not think ahead to the future and used up all his money.

i remember the completion with avuncular. it wasnt avuncular though. POWER OF SEA! it talks about the sea like the whole time!
