I've been told by a lot of people that only if I'm accepted to the school I want, I'll be immediately given all the financial aid I need. Is this true?
Given that I'm an international student with an income lower than 30000$, from a family of four and I'm accepted at one of the better schools; will all my financial needs be covered?
Does it mean I don't have to worry about college costs at all?

I’m not a financial aid expert, but… Financial aid for internationals may be very limited, depending on what schools you are looking at. Many schools do not meet 100% of need even for U.S. citizens. If a school meets 100% of need, remember that it’s 100% of what THEY calculate you need, not 100% of what you think you need. This figure would most likely cover just tuition, room and board. You would still have travel and miscellaneous expenses. I think it’s a stretch saying that you wouldn’t have to worry about college costs at all.

You need to check YOUR colleges policies on financial aid for international students. No one here can give you information about the amount your schools will award you without knowing the specific schools. Some schools give good financial aid to international students. Some schools give LIMITED financial aid to international students. Some schools give NO aid to international students.

Will the schools meet your total need? Again…no way of knowing.

Will you get your aid decision either with or very shortly after your acceptance…yes…assuming you completed your financial aid application materials and submitted them ON TIME.
