2330 SAT1, 2400 SATII, Home School with heavy load at community college

They offered to pay to fly me out a few months ago but unfortunately I didn’t have time to go. I guess that’s a good sign?

Time to grow the playoff beard… or in this case, admission beard?

Iunno but if I do, I might not be able to read my (rejection) letter in march/april… haha

yeah…i’m basically freaking out.

i’m sending out my application this friday - i have everything all set, but the only thing i was waiting up for was my english teacher’s recommendation (which i needed for the writing scholarship). believe me, financial aid is a MUST for me. even if i get accepted, if the aid package isn’t good, then it’s a no-go…

i might as well post some stats.

720 bio

lol. i lost focus on the essay, and only wrote one paragraph. i got a 5.
do schools still not care about the writing section?

I submitted my app on Christmas Eve, and my supplement in late November, so I didn’t get contacted for an interview. I’m applying to CAS for the PNP major as my 1st choice and English as my 2nd choice. Financial aid will be the tipping factor for me when it comes to selecting a college, so I’m also depending on WUSTL’s scholarships to help a bit.

G’luck to all the RD applicants!

I called them recently to ask for an interview and they said they had no more spots but they’d put a note in my file saying I requested one. So I get one point for interest, I guess. I’m also applying for (either 2 or 3) scholarships. I cant visit though (east coaster).
Like an earlier poster, I was deferred early from Yale and WashU is either tied for first on my list with Yale or one below it, depending on financial aid/scholarship money. Applied for English-Writing in Arts and Sciences so I could apply for the Mylonas scholarship.

Good luck everyone!

Yeah, when I e-mailed the admissions about interviews, they said that they don’t offer them anymore. They never said anything about adding my request to my files as a sign of interest :.

AHHH WUSTL is my #1 choice but I think my chances are quite…low :(

TheGinnyPumpkin: “when I e-mailed the admissions about interviews,”
you emailed the admissions? I thought the alumni association were in charge of the interviews. or are you talking about the interview with admission officers?

Am I overreacting to this sentence from a particular WUSTL email I received?

"You can be assured that the information you have shared with us will be taken into consideration when we create your financial assistance package once you are admitted. "

argh can’t wait til we find out
