<p>Maybe we'll have some answers in the morning. It's pretty grim to hear all of these rejections and it's hard to believe that UCI just threw out the rest of their applicant pool like that. </p>

<p>i was talking to my friend and i mite just go up there tomorrow and hand them my appeal in person. This is really ****ing me off.</p>
<p>fshe i too would lose sleep over USC but my status hasnt changed since early feb so i'm taking that as a rejection and i was losing sleep over UCI and i will continue to cause now i gotta hope that there's a glitch and if not, write a killer appeal essay that will make them accept me then i will be the one with the upper hand</p>
<p>okay so i checked ten minutes ago and turns out i didn't get in, i'm PO'ed cause now where am i gonna go? i applied as an econ major, so i don't know if that affected my chances, anyways i had a 3.94 UC gpa and 2020 sat's, i was thinking for sure i could get in, i even got into davis and sb, but i don't wanna go to either of those schools they're too far, i mean i LIVE in irvine!</p>

<p>same here, im also an econ major, but lower stats. I got into UCD but its so far away (6 hour drive) and I want to stay close to home, which is one of the reasons why I really want to go to Irvine, but this just really is killing everyone here.</p>

I got rejected too but I not too cheesed off since nothing was more upsetting than getting rejected from ucd...</p>
<p>I got rejected, but I got into Davis, UCSD, Cal and UCLA. Doesn't make sense, unless of course they had some way of knowing I didn't want to go there, but how in the hell would they know? They might be accidently rejecting some very qualified people who DO want to go there. So although I don't mind the decision, I would be extremely ticked off if I was one of those people who was looking to go to Irvine and got rejected today.</p>
