Omg, Stanford FTW!! Woot 1000th post!

Congratulations to all for getting the stuff in. I turned mine in a few hours ago, and now the wait starts. I really hope I get in because I have a really strong feeling in my gut that I belong at Stanford. Haha, it may sound funny but its hard to explain.

Haha, I think a lot of people feel that way toomuchpressure, it just seems so perfect, right?

Yea dude, it feels really weird. Oh well, if only that mattered, haha.

I totally feel you guys. Stanford is just so energetic and the environment is so...well "chill" as my SooCal friend would say.

I love Stanford sooo much, but I just can't express it nearly as much as I want to!!

Definitely agree with the two above posters. One thing I love about Stanford is that you're surrounded by extremely smart people, yet they aren't nerds. "Chill" is an excellent term do describe the atmosphere.

just sent it in..dont feel so confident but oh well

I'm almost done. I don't feel confident right now, either. I've spent so much time on my essays that I'm kinda sick of them. I wish I could make them even better, but I guess there's gotta be an end to that sometime or the other.

Sent mine in this morning! It's all about chance now. GL to everyone else :)

God help...Omg I feel so relaxed, yet so nervous...all at the same time, lol.

Sent... whoo. It's out of our hands now, I guess.

Yep, I sent as well!

I'm so dang nervous!

Just remember SCEAers, i'll still love ya even you are rejected :)

Haha, thanks! The only sad thing about Stanford SCEA is that they're extremely realistic with you (i know it may some paradoxical). Unlike MIT (which defers 80% of their early action students), Stanford only defer about 20% from what I've heard. In a way its good, but at the same time, its crushing.

^ I hear you!

I KNOWWW
that's the worst thing
like there's this girl from my school who's SO dumb and got deferred from UPenn
and i was joking around with my friend that at least SHE got deferred from a top school, so it would be horrible if i got flat out rejected

When I spoke to an admissions officer, she said about 20% of early applicants are accepted, and 10% are deferred to regular admissions. The other 70% are outright rejected. The accepted % is high for early action because the ones who apply early are the ones who "have all their stuff together", in her words.

I can't wait until December... haha, I'm going to have either a really rotten Winter Break or an awesome one.

haha, cdawson - i know, the greatness or suckiness of my winter break is pretty much riding on stanford.
i'm so nervous, too! i know that we can't do anything anymore but it's such a scary thought that we ARE out of control now...
43 days..

Just remember everyone, whether or not we get into Stanford, we'll all have great lives. People even bothering to apply so Stanford have something special, I mean, just finishing that hardcore app is something! We're all great people who will accomplish a lot in the future, whether or not Stanford is in it.
