I’m applying to Allegheny College and I was offered their “blue and gold priority application” over email. Does this commit me to early decision or anything? I want to use it because it covers the application fee but I don’t want to be committed to any early decision plan.

My son applied B&G in late October. On Tuesday, the status changed on the application portal indicating that a decision was made and would be sent by regular mail. Now we wait!

It seems to take time from when the status changes online to when a decision letter is mailed. No letter yet after status changed early last week. Hopefully soon, because this is one of DS’s top choices and other decisions have been coming in. It would make for a great holiday season!
Accepted today with a Trustee Scholarship. DS is really excited!
DD was accepted with a crazy amount for a Trustee Scholarship. Needless to say we are very happy. Going in March to meet the other Trustee Scholars.
Kat2013, congrats to your daughter! My son also received the max Trustee Scholarship, and we are quite appreciative of the college’s generosity. It will definitely be in the mix when the final choice is made.

My status changed a little over a week ago. Still have not received letter.
@rumorsareflying Hopefully, you will hear soon and be accepted with a generous scholarship! It took about 9-10 days for us to hear after the status change. It would probably be better for the Admissions Office to change the status when the letter is ready to be sent. Good luck!
