Does anybody have an opinion on Allegheny College or Hope College?

Hope is a very well-respected school. It is small, with a caring staff & good student-faculty interaction. It's the kind of school where you would be "known" --- good for grad school recommendations. My neighbor's son really liked it when he visited. He is a 3.0 student, 28 ACT ... thought it might be a bit tough for him academically. It's pretty religious & located in a very conservative area.

I visited there a couple weeks ago for "Junior Day". It has a beautiful campus and everyone seemed really nice and friendly. Go to "www.studentsview.com" to see reviews. And I must say that the food was amazing.

I don't know anything about Hope, but Allegheny is a wonderful college. An authentic community of students with the best features regarding class size, access to professors, support, and strong curriculum. My D loved her visits there, but will likely not go due to distance and cost compared to the fine public she likes, but it's still tugging on my heart.
