I took the Calc Clep exam before the semester started and got a 48, minimum passing score was 50. I am notoriously bad at timed standardized tests, so this was definitely not a reflection of my knowledge. Anyhow, my community college allowed me to sign up for Calc 3 with no credit granted though, and I am having absolutely no trouble yet - first exam on monday, breezed through the practice test. My question is, will a transfer university care that i don't have credit for calc 1 or 2, but did fine in Calc 3? They won't, say, make me take Calc 2 as a formality?

If calc 2 is a major requirement you will still have to take it

It’ll depend on the college but it is quite possible that they will make you take Calc 2. Where I go they’ll let you replace an earlier calc class with a more advanced class if you’ve gone though the sequence. Some schools will just excuse you from the requirement. Others may require you take Calc 2.

It depends on the school but more likely than not, you are going to have to take Calc 2. A good grade in Calc 3 does not mean that you are proficient in Calc 2 because Calc 2 goes much deeper into integration techniques than Calc 3 will.
