Ok, so I have a TI Nspire and a regular scientific calculator as well. I have only been using my graphing calculator for the past month and certain things would be beneficial( numerical solve) but other things would take a while to use( permutations, trig, etc)
SO am I allowed to use both on the regluar SAT? Would I have to keep one under my desk? Because I feel like that would waste time if I was constantly switching back and forth. Help?

Nah you can use both. I used a regular scientific and a TI-84 at the same time on my last SAT, and the proctors didn’t care.

nspire has a keyboard though.
you could easily pop it in during the test (even though I don’t believe anyone is actually taking the time to type in SAT problems), so the proctors might give you crap for it

^^ who told you it’s okay !!

I sent an Email to College board specifaclly asking them this question (( if I can use 2 Calculators on the regluar SAT )) , and they said that it isn’t allowed , you can only use one calculator .

You CAN use more than one calculator (( a scientific and graphing )) on the SAT 2 Math 2 though .

But my advice : take both of the calculators with you , It really depends on the proctors . Maybe he/she will not mind that you use more than one , and if they did just choose one and use it.

I had two calculators and nobody seemed to care. If you’re worried about it, ask the proctor before hand. But worst case scenario, if one dies then you have another to use after the break.
