I applied during the first few days of January.
I still haven’t heard anything back from them. Should I call? Should I expect to be waitlisted/denied?

@LittleLiam Same boat buddy. Odds are it’s the very last batch and everything should be out by April 1st. I applied all the way back in November.
Check your SOLAR. If you select “Application Status”, it should have changed to “Thank you for applying to Stony Brook University. Your application is currently being processed. We will contact you if we are missing any items needed to render a decision.” This just means your decision is coming out very soon.
What you want to look for is new tabs popping up, specifically a tab called “New Student”. This means you have been accepted, even if still says “processing” in application status. They will say you are accepted a few days after that. It’s a very old system over 10 years old. That’s one of the strange quirks, you get those tabs before you get your acceptance letter.
If you don’t see anything, no worries, keep waiting.
If you get a message saying rejected or waitlisted, well, you’re rejected or waitlisted. Tough luck.
I have a thank you message, however, not an accepted students tab. If you don’t get one of those by now, can you pretty much count on not getting in?
Same here. It still says processing and it has mid year grades in my to do tab. but my counselor had sent them already. does does that mean that they didn’t get it can’t make a decision unless they get my mid year grades?
