Almost graduated and not interested in major..Help!

Hello all,

I’m new here but I wanted to get this out there because I’m pretty lost. I’m a computer information systems major and I have one semester left. Throughout college I have kinda just “gotten by” without really putting full effort and learning much into it. I chose this major sophomore year thinking I’d like it since I enjoy computers but overall looking at it, it’s not what I wanna do for the rest of my life. I’m actually really interested in the medical field after researching it a lot this past year but I feel stuck. My parents and friends/family all expect me to graduate with this degree and who knows if I’ll even get a job with my gpa being around a 2.7. I’m just worried if I can even get into a medical program and what to do since I’m one semester away from getting this.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Med school is not in the cards for you. But health care administration is. Computer information systems would seem to be a very useful major for hospitals & health insurance companies.

Yes, I agree. You are not competitive for medical school or most of the allied health fields.

But there is a ton of information in the health system, and a CIS degree can easily be applied to working in healthcare.
