For any current Stanford students, what is it like living in Alondra in Flomo? It’s an all frosh dorm and has half SLE students and half non SLE (I’m not in SLE). Since it is an all freshman dorm, will it still have the community and social life of an all frosh dorm? Or, will it be more quiet and subdued because it is surrounded by 4 class dorms (and is far away from other freshman dorms) and has half SLE students?
It…doesn’t exactly have the same environment as the other all-frosh dorms like Wilbur or Stern. It’s a bit more mellow and is about half-way between those and FroSoCo. Be careful about being non-SLE in Alondra. Some non-SLE kids report feeling left-out and even annoyed by the extent to which SLE dominates Alondra life (dining hall conversations, etc.) despite half of the dorm being non-SLE.
