Alongfortheride/concerneddad, etc: Meal plans question

Do your students subscribe to one of the meal plans? If so, how has it been for them? Thanks!

tabby: first semester my son had the caret blance plus 400 = all you can eat a Bruffs, plus $400 greenbucks good at places on campus other than the main cafeteria. Well, he only used about 1/2 the greenbucks first first, so we changed to the carte blance 100 for Spring. But, he has got to now use them or lose them as they do not rollover to the next year.

BTW, he likes the food at Bruff's alot. When he came home for break, he complained that there were not enough "choices" for each meal. Also, he like not having to do dishes!

Thanks concerneddad; this is very helpful as we start "cost analysis"..........

I would suggest the carte blanche with 250 greenbucks.

Tabby, we're the same as Concerneddad. We're reducing the number of greenbucks to $100 this spring. If he needs more money, we can deposit it on his Tulane card. We did $250 the first semester.

Thanks crackah and along!
I really appreciate all the great feedback that my "CC friends" have provided throughout the college visiting process and evaluations. I will probably besiege you with a million questions now!

ask away tabby!

tabby - My son is a soph. Loved Bruff as a first semester freshman but by second semester was whinning like a big dog. I think like any institutional food it can get old before long. But hey them's the breaks. Make life too easy on them and they'll be living in your basement until they're 40. When he came home for Christmas this year I had all four of his wisdom teeth yanked:-)

Anyway my guess is those greenbucks will get spent second semester. BTW Jr. might not have liked the Bruff food but he still managed to put on a good 15-20 lb.

Thanks Patuxent!
What is your S majoring in?

He is majoring in economics.
