Anyone on here a member/ know much about it? I joined a "real" frat this past semester and I'm thinking about joining something like AKPsi for networking opportunities, among other things. I checked into DSP, but it only accepts HAAS people and I'm not planning to do that, which leaves AKPsi. Do they have a spring rush? On their website their is only information for fall rush.

yes they have spring rush

Yes, as noted above, they have a spring rush. They are quite accepting of people of different majors. My EECS friend just rushed in fact. They are quite selective though. I believe they take into account your gpa when you apply. And their rush is quite rigorous. There were many times where I saw the pledge class in Unit 1 rec room working on presentations or projects.

My friend did spring rush a while ago. She actually deactivated her membership after being in AKPsi for a semester or two after going through a horrible pledging semester. Many pledges in her class cried while doing the projects cause they were going through such a bad time that some were on the verge of quitting. I'm sure it's probably better than this now.

So was it worth it in the end? Networking opportunties and all that? Social events?

I've heard mixed opinions about AKPsi. Just be wary of the effort justification effect when members say nothing but positive things about it.
