Already ruined college 4.0 while senior in high school..

So I've been taking a CIS class, and I think I'm going to get an A-. I didn't realize it would be on my transcript, which is kind of funny/sad that I already lost my 4.0. I might even get a B+.

-_____-

Are you taking this course at the college/university where you plan to earn your bachelor’s degree? If not, while the credit may transfer, it is unlikely that the grade will be used to compute your GPA wherever it is that you do study. Yes, it will be taken into consideration should you apply to grad school, but at that point the difference it might make in your overall GPA will be minimal.

Do not worry about this.

It is a class I took in High School at college rigor, classified as “College in the Schools” and you get a college transcript letter, so I think it is factored. I REALLY hope it is not factored in grad school, I’m aiming for a really high college gpa to get good scholarships for grad school.

College is not HS. Time to put away the gpa mentality.

You’ll be taking about 40 classes in college, do the math, how much will that .3 or .7 end up counting?

Unless the course is through the same college that you will attend full time later, it is unlikely that the grade will be included in the college’s calculation of your GPA, even if you transfer the credit.

However, medical schools will want you to include it in your GPA (although it is not quite as important compared to a pre-med course like biology, chemistry, physics, or math).
