I sent my SIR two days ago. NOW I WANT UCLA! What can I do right now?! PLEAS HELP! =X

Buy some Birkenstocks and plan on having fun in Berkeley!

Contact Cal and UCLA undergrad admissions and ask them about this.

umm.... too bad

you could try calling but its a LOOOOONNNNNG Shot

have fun at Cal :)

well its kinda late.. and i dont want to submit 2 sirs and then get both revoked.

i think someone else had a thread like this earlier, they submitted both. Maybe you can submit both and call tomorrow?

I dont think you can submit and sir now

isnt the deadline may 1st?

nope its in an hour and a half

Just send the sir to UCLA. All it means is that you have to pay the 100 dollars to Cal, but that's small beans when it comes to the next four years of your life.

the ucla site says sending your sir to two places may jeopardize my admissions. should i risk it?

Call Them And Dont Risk It!!!!!!

Call and ask, don't listen to people that haven't a clue aka US. ;)

Seriously, just call up UCLA and let them know the situation.

Why did you change your mind? They never post the pertinent information. =P

If I were you I'd make sure to get it in before the deadline more than anything else, because I know about changing your mind after the deadline and it's not pretty.

Good luck at CAL if you end up going there btw

so what did you decide to do, kattiepie?

well why not brace yourself for life at cal...

yeah the only thing was.. UCLA doesn't pick up their phone at 10 at night. (figures ^^;;)

I'm going to Cal. I've learned to accept it. I need to live with it. LOL.

I changed my mind at the last minute because.. I chose Cal for the wrong reasons and realized that. I also LOVE UCLA and knew that deep inside, every moment I was at Cal, I would be dying to come back home. (I live in LA.)

You and I are in the same predicament, only I'm a transfer student, sent my SIR the minute I was accepted to UCLA and have been quite pursued by Cal all week for some reason......

anyway, know firsthand that you are going to love Cal, however, you are going to definitely miss LA, just as much as I would have had I decided on Cal. You see, family is family.....and if you're close to family than they make life a lot easier to take. Unfortunately, my family is extremely dysfunctional, correction, my parents are. At any rate, there are many excellent flight deals for Oakland to LAX, come home often. It's good to keep the support system that you're used to and home cookin'!

hey kattiepie i did the same thing as u i sent in everything to cal last week then i called them and all u have to do is send htem a fax telling them that u wasn to retract ure cal SIR thats all u have to do and meanwhile u can send in ure UCLA one... i did that and now im goin to UCLA in the fall i lost 200 bucks tho:( but yah they dun care if u sent in two sir as long as u cancel on asap soo yaahh i dun think it helps anymore but call ucla admissions and ask them if u can still sen in ure SIR because u can retract ure CAL one anytime... explain ure situation and maybe they will be sympathetic besides UCLA like ppl who rejected cal~! haha

I think it was just cold feet. Maybe you'll be glad later on that you weren't able to accept UCLA because you'll like Berkeley so much.
