I'm currently deciding whether or not to take the time (and the money!) to study for either the SAT II Literature test or the US History test.

I have already taken two SAT IIs, but they were in 2 languages. I got a 710 and a 750.

I'm not sure how adcoms will view this. Would taking one or two more subject tests in different areas help me when applying to highly selective schools? Or are the tests I have right now sufficient?

Some highly selective schools require certain SAT IIs so you should check their website or something. Generally, I think you should take one or two others just in case.

Is one of these languages your native language? If yes, unless you are applying to a language program then you should definitely take another test as that SAT II is not going to carry a lot of weight. you might want to retake anyway to demonstrate a range of subjects.

But seriously, just take the one in the subject that you are most interested in. Not only will it be more pleasant for you, it will ultimately yield better scores, and colleges (except specialized, like MIT for example) don't really care which SAT II you take.

Some schools require your SAT IIs be in different subject areas (e.g. can't have both Biology and Chemistry) and some require Math II. Check websites for specifics.

I think one sat 2 language is enough. Schools that actually specifies for them usually only need one. But you need to make sure that you have taken the SAT 2 for math and science.

Where are you applying? The most selective colleges it might be in your best interest to take Math Level 2, or a science test. Other top colleges you might want to take a third one in USHis or Lit. But if its the lower tier of the selective schools, then I think you're find.
