Already?!

I just received my admission decision to Northeastern University through an email. It informed me that my the admission committee came to a decision and I had to follow a link to find out.

I was expecting my earliest answers the third week of March. This is quite strange. Anyone else in the same boat?

Well, did you follow the link and find out? :P

I didn't get my decision yet :(. My midyear report isn't in yet, so I expect that it'll be a week or two after they receive it.

Alex: Yes I did follow the link and find out. But I just never expected to receive a decision this soon. I really wasn't ready. I went to randomly check my emails and an email of such importance was just there...Was weird. I'm just wondering if anyone else already received their decision.

Frank: Your midyear report is not available yet? Or you just sent it? Best of luck to you in any case.

I just sent it this past Thursday.

Are you guys transfers?

I'm not a transfer.

iskander, I got my decision too. about 6 days ago...
Yeah, it's weird considering I'm a RD applicant...

Same thing happened to me! I received the email on Feb.20th, it really surprized me to hear from them so soon!

Are you an international student too, iskander?

I assume you got rejected since you are so bewildered by the fact that you got one so early?

did u really get the decision from the northeastern??
IM an international student, I applied there in Dec. But didn't get any decision yet..
Am i the only one who didn't get the decision? shoudl I call them?

No Chris, I got accepted :) And I applied for RD.

What about the rest of you?

I am an international student. I applied for RD and got in also. The decision surprised me as well, didnt expect it to be out so fast

how are all of you finding out so soon? I thought RD decisions were going to be posted on april 1rst? Are you guys "unofficially" accepted into Northeastern? Some schools send letters like that to students.

Since you guys all found out so soon for RD ; can you please post what your Stats were.

It's 100% official.

My stats:

ACT composite: 33
SAT I Math: 750
SAT I Critical Reading: 690
SAT I Writing: 660
TOEFL iBT: 115

ECs:
Class President
Choir soloist
Web design club
Tennis (less-competitive level)

I went to a public school in the Czech Republic and received average grades (lots of A's but also a considerable ammount of D's)

Essay: I think it's strong and well-written, I feel it really paints a vivid picture of me as a highly motivated person

Recommendations: Great

I got into CBA Management.

International admissions are done on a rolling basis for RD.

That's... unusual. Do you have any idea why is that so?

probably because it takes longer to calculate financial aid for US students.

I haven't heard of any other schools which would do it like this... weird. Not that it bothers me or anything :D
It's nice to be accepted to my 3rd choice school this early, took a lot of weight off my shoulders.
Good luck to those who are still waiting!
