Alright. Chance me for UCB/UCLA.

I've waited really long to ask, because I felt self conscious compared to the kids here who were much more qualified than me...but I guess it can't hurt, with admissions coming out soon.

I don't feel good about my chances..I suppose you guys will tell me the same. (Already been rejected from UC Davis)

Stats: (Ranked 16th out of 488 in my class)
3.64 unweighted GPA
4.47 weighted GPA
3.9 UC GPA

SATs:
2070 SATI (1410 M+CR)
710 Chemistry
650 US History
670 Biology

AP Exams: (Quick note, my school is not considered an excellent academic school. 8APs taken is the most out of anyone in our senior class. We offer about 10 - not including languages.)
5 - English Language and Composition
5 - Biology
4 - US History
4 - Chemistry
2009 -> Computer Science, English Lit and Comp, Government, Statistics

ECs:
90 hours TA @ local Vietnamese school - moved away after my freshman year
about 100 hours regular community service over 4 years
Global Action club (Vice President) - organizes fundraising toward a yearly project
Red Cross Club
Video Game Club (Vice President)
Countless hours as an English tutor for my peers.
Worked for both my parents as an architectural assistant (drawing floor plans) and as a desk clerk for my mom at her office.
1 year Varsity Football (as a senior - also received a leadership award from the team for being a positive influence in the locker room and on the field.). This seems a little random, I know, but it ties into my Personal Statement.

Personal Statements
-Generally got the consensus that they were excellent, from my counselors and teachers and peers.
Here's prompt 2, which explains the football thing.

Applied to both under English, my intended major. My prompt 1 discusses this in more detail.

Well, ever since I got rejected from Davis, I don't feel good about my chances, as I said before. I think getting some feedback from you guys will either confirm that, or ease my stress a little bit.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You are qualified!
The essays was good and very well written.
I say you have a very good shot!

Anybody else..? I was kind of hoping for multiple opinions...

in berkeley out ucla

idk, I think your stats are really good. Maybe your SAT2's could've been a little higher but your gpa is good and so are your SATs. and your ec's are looking good too. And your essay was well written too. So I have no idea why you got rejected from Davis...I'm getting really scared now... :(
I'm a junior and my stats aren't as good as yours so...??

oh yea! and, based on your stats, I would say you have a chance with LA and a little less of a chance for UCB
