So I'm planning on applying to U of M early-action this year.

Info:

Instate

GPA: 3.74 (unweighted)

ACT: 32

APs: 8 Courses taken.

Summer Courses: 2 freshmen level courses taken at MSU.

Honors: NHS, AP Scholar with distinction

ECs: 1 JV tennis, 2 years varsity Tennis, 3 years debate, School Paper, Student Council, 20 hours of community service outside of NHS.

So what are my chances?

You’ll get a good feel if you look at the kids from your school that normally are accepted. Statistically you’re in the running, but see if your GC can advise you relative to others in your school from last year etc. GCs in Michigan have a pretty good sense about what it takes and are quite familiar with the school districts.

You will get in with that unweighted GPA AND that ACT. Don’t worry.

yea, you’re stats look pretty good. good luck!

But won’t the admissions process get harder because UM is now on the common app?

a lot of people think so, but from what i’ve heard on here, it’s probably gonna be the same

You’re IS, so you’re good. Even if stuff gets remodeled, I think you’re in. What’s your wieghted, ranked, and what college you applying into?

My school doesn’t weight or rank, but it’s one of most competitive schools in the state. And right now I’m planning on going to LSA.

With IS and LSA and all the stuff you got you are golden

Well, that’s good news! Thanks for all the replies everyone.
