3rd on the waitlist for a r1b class. i only have 11 units without it.
plan to try and get in to ed 190 but as you know, that class is purely waitlist until you get code.
do you think i'll get into the r1b class?
i can't find any other classes that have space/seem remotely interesting.

are you l&s? then i would suggest you atleast add some random seminars/decals just to make sure you are at the minimum 13 units even if they dont seem like interesting classes to you. i have heard petitioning with the dean to keep under the minimum number of units is a pain in the butt

do we need 13 by the beginning?

no only by the time the classes show up on your transcript by the end of the semester. at any rate though, you will need to find them before the add/drop deadline

yea i realize that grr time to find some decal. damn r1b class. i really want it. what’s the point of being a 2nd year if i still can’t have my classes :(

why dont you try to add an r5b class instead (assuming some are still open)

none. there’s such a small amount of r5b classes this year

come to the conclusion that there are no open classes.

the key word in the advice at the top was to find classes that are open, not just interesting or priority classes. You can then drop the one you don’t want when you clear into a good one. Plenty with openings. Random sampling of open classes:

plus many DeCals have room

R1b/R5B are a lot more common in spring and summer than fall, which is probably why you’ve encountered difficulties signing up for one.

Sometimes it’s good to take something you never thought you’d take. You might learn something or discover something you never thought you’d learn or discover. Or you might make a friend you might otherwise not make.

it’s not that i’m unwilling to take different classes. i need a tuth morning class/mwf ~10am class…that’s what i was saying by most of the classes are full i think (unless i take intro to zulu…but uhhm haha i’m not too excited for that)
