Alright, it's Berkeley time. What are my chances?

Hi all! I'm planning to apply to UC Berkeley this November, and I'd Like some feedback on my application; I'm planning to double major in civil engineering and architecture, I've always wanted both degrees under my belt.

I am a California resident, and I've lived in California for most of my life, but I have studied abroad for a few years. I joined the basketball team at my school for three years, and co-created a student organization to encourage reading, which prospered when we began creating events in several schools. I also spent two of my years in high-school writing a novel.

Here are my exam results:

GPA: 4.10
SAT Score: 2090

SAT Math L1: 760
SAT Math L2: 780
SAT Physics: 800

AP Physics B: 5
AP Physics C - Mechanics: 5
AP Calculus BC: 5
AP Calculus AB (subscore): 5
AP Macroeconomics: 5
AP Macroeconomics: 5

A-Level Physics: A*
A-level Applied ICT: A
A-Level Mathematics: A

O-Level Math: A
O-Level Biology: A*
O-Level Chemistry: A
O-Level Physics: A*
O-Level ICT: A*
O-Level ESL: A

Berkeley: Reach

Thanks for your reply! Do you think my chances would be slightly increased if I changed my major to engineering undeclared?

Berkeley: High Match
First of all, you are in state.
SAT IIs are amazing, APs are amazing, Grades are amazing, and ECs are on the higher end of average, especially the novel. Undeclared might help, but I’m not entirely sure about that. If only your SAT was a little bit higher…(Killuminati hun? :D)
Good luck!

I know my SAT score isn’t exactly Berkeley average… I really want to double major though! Thanks for your input!

First of all, congrats on your subject test scores!!! Danggggg! I’d definitely retake your sat this october and see if you can possibly bump it up to a 2100+, which will really help your chances into getting into cal

You should get in if you can bump SAT a little bit

Thanks guys! Actually, I’ve made this last minute decision to take the ACT! We’ll see if I can do maybe slightly better, considering that I’m more or a math/science student!

If you were at 2200+ or 32+, I’d call it a match. GET YOUR SAT UP and I think you’ll get in :)
