Alrigt, well i've decided to join the ranks of cross country runner

Alright, i guess i'm joining up with all the "smart" kids who run now. It's going to be my first season doing cross country after coming off of varsity soccer. I'm a really good runner, but i need tips.

What strategies should i use for meets?, and how should my form be?

I’m doing XC too, this fall.
What is your time on the 5k?

The first time you wear spikes you’ll feel like Jesus for the first mile, so make sure to keep your pace at what it normally is.

Like 20.5 minutes for my 5k. I haven’t ran it competitively. My and my friends just found a 5k trail and timed ourselves.

First I’d suggest you contact the high school coach and ask about a training program for new runners for the summer … before worrying about strategies for races and your running form I would worry about getting your base conditioning level up in an smart way (gradually increasing your mileage and intensity so you’re ready for the first practices this fall)

Yea, today, i’m planning on starting running, after i tweak my new workout plan.

I may join Cross Country, but I will have to get my running legs back…
