So I got into my alternate major (structural engineering) for UCSD, but I really wanted to do aerospace engineering. Its my dream to work on spacecraft.
Let's say I get into aerospace engineering in UCI, which school should I transfer to?

I know there is an aerospace specialization that I can do for structural engineering, but I don't know enough about the field enough to know if that is something that I will enjoy. All I know is that I read in the news about aerospace engineering, and I look over the available courses, and I come away feeling excited about my future. Seeing students work on lunar landers and helicopters makes me really want to do it.

UCI has the option to double major in aerospace engineering and mechanical engineering, and from what I've heard it requires only like 2 extra classes. UCSD doesn't accept double majors within the engineering department.

UCSD is ranked 22nd in aerospace engineering while UCI is ranked 27th. UCSD is ranked 17th in civil engineering while UCI is 31st. UCSD's engineering school is ranked 9th while UCI is 35th.

Opinions?

Also, if anybody has experience with structural engineering, specifically with an aerospace emphasis, please explain what it entails.

Thanks
