I applied to Cal State Long Beach last year, noting that my major of choice, Psychology, was impacted.

I know what that means, and decided to list Japanese as my alternate major.

I also heard that I may get accepted with psych as a "pre-major" due to impaction, with extra courses and such before I can qualify for the full major.

What I want to know is if they give me the offer of Psych as a pre-major, can I reject that and decide to switch to my alternate, non-impacted major Japanese? Or am I contracted to only be accepted for Psych?
