Hi everyone, I have a question about alternative majors. Today I was notified through my portals that I was not admitted under a Biological Sciences major, my first choice, at UC Santa Barbara or UC Davis. During the application process I chose Nutritional Sciences as an alternate major for Davis since Biological Sciences was so impacted there; Nutrition is not impacted at all. Although I was not admitted under my first choice, is there still a chance that I could be accepted under my alternate at Davis? I was accepted into UC San Diego under Human Biology and am still waiting to hear from UC Merced. I currently have a 3.9 GPA at Modesto Junior College. UC Davis was my first choice, so if anyone could answer this question I would really appreciate it!

Sounds like those people sit in the UCSB and UCD admissions offices. Everyone else is just a speculator. Good luck to you with your phone calls.
