anyone who has taken either the SAT I or SAT subject tests know if the alternate tests are more difficult than the national administration ones?

how does CB equate or scale these scores when a significantly smaller population (alternate date test takers) takes a test? does this translate into a harsher curve?

Thanks for any insight.

I’m pretty sure that they’re the same test and the same curve.

The curves are determined beforehand by the difficulty of the questions, NOT by the performance of the group that actually took the test that day. Relax, CB has it all figured out.

Thanks!

then the difficulty of the test should be about the same as the national test date. if they give a harder test for the alternate test, the curves will already be pre-determined to reflect the difficulty level of the test.
