Alternative major for film?

I really want to major in film, but since I'm going to a junior college, they don't have the major. Which of these majors would suit the best? I plan on switching to film when I transfer to a university.

Check with a college counselor but I would say go with English as your major. One of the best attributes a film student can have is knowing how to write. A solid English background with some creative writing classes and some books on how screenplays are written will serve you well.

Best,
Wheaty

I was thinking that or Journalism. I like both subjects and I have a background in journalism.

Millieme,
You bet, journalism could work too especially if you want to make documentaries in film school. Get good at writing - it’s the easiest way into film school.

Best of Luck,
Wheaty
