I frequently encourage students to look into other, non-traditional ways to approach math questions whenever possible. Even if you can do it the “right” way, you build flexibility and sometimes speed by knowing more than one way to attack an SAT math question. And if your algebra is less than fluent, these alternative approaches might be your only way forward through a problem.
