<p>The progress you make on the SAT will carry over to the ACT.</p>
<p>There are differences between the tests. ACT English emphasizes different grammar concepts and skills from SAT Writing. </p>
<p>ACT Math tests trigonometry and conic sections; SAT Math does not.</p>
<p>The essays are completely different.</p>
<p>So if you study mainly for the SAT, it’s critical that you familiarize yourself with the ACT by taking practice tests.</p>
