Alternatives for those not accepted

I have been reading a lot of great threads and here and there people have been giving great advice for those not entering a BFA program. I was wondering if all the advice could be put into one thread?

I will pose it as a question... What alternatives are open for kids not accepted into a BFA or BA MT program? (My D is a transfer student who left a BA/MT program; she was NOT cut).

Thanks ahead of time!

I, too, am transferring from a BA/MT "wannabe" and was also NOT CUT.

My dog was transferring from a BA/MT "wannabe" and was also NOT CUT.

Sorry, I had to haha.

My comment here was just playing on you both caps locking NOT CUT,

Several serious questions.

Why are you leaving? Was the program not right for you? And why not?

What is it you want to do when you graduate? B'way MT? Working actor? what? This makes a difference.

What type of program are you looking for? Some programs are ultra competitive, some take a more nurturing approach, which do you think you'll thrive in.

Finally, last piece of advice. I know of very few BFA programs that will let more than a few credits transfer. That will equate to a fifth year of college. BA programs are far more lenient.

Feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to help where I can.
