Alumni interview coming up... What to prepare??

Is there anything that I should prepare beforehand?

Be it any documents or any questions/dialogues that I should prepare in my head prior to the interview?

Or would it be best to go in with a clear and open mind?

Have your stats for the interviewer, whether he or she has asked for them or not: your transcript, SAT/ACT scores, SAT II scores, AP score, etc. and a list of your extracurriculars. If you’re applying, I assume there is positive stuff here to impress the interviewer and be referenced somehow in his/her report.

Other than that, going in “with a clear and open mind” is certainly a good idea. Specific questions and answers are less important than the general impression you convey that you will, in one way or another, be an asset to the school if it gives you the chance, and will take advantage of the opportunities offered you.

I agree with cottonmather. You should make sure you’ve got the basics, like test scores and EC’s, but you should not memorize answers to possible questions the interviewer might ask. You want to seem natural, not like you studied every answer; it makes you look unenthusiastic and fake.
