So I originally filled out the first part of my application in June-July and marked I would be applying Early action. I changed my mind in August, called the admissions office, and was told that I could just check regular decision on the second part of the application and turn it in for that deadline so I would no longer be considered early action
I just got an email about an alumni interview for this week, but I feel it is too early for my applying regular decision plus I’m applying to a different school Early decision. Basically I don’t want to do the interview just yet; is there a polite way to tell the admissions committee this, or should I just go through with the interview?
You could always call the admissions office and ask for an official answer, but I think you should just go ahead and do it seeing that there’s only a month or so between EA and RD app deadlines.
That being said, you can probably hold it off until mid-October or so. Take your time, and just make sure that Georgetown is aware of your situation.
