alumni interview

So I have my Cornell alumni interview tomorrow. From what I've gathered, alumni interviews aren't super important, and because of this I'm not sure about a few things, like what I should wear. The lady never specified, and I was told by my guidance counselor to dress "casual, but no jeans." All I have are khaki's and black slacks. I was also told to wear the school colors (no carnelian, but I do have a couple of red shirts). But since this is an alumni interview, I'm wondering if this would come across as desperate?
I'm also wondering about the mindset I should go in there with. I am definitely taking the interview as a serious matter, except I'm told it doesn't really make a difference (unless you're really terrible) so I'm confused as to how exactly to present myself.
Sorry if the last question seemed dumb/confusing! It's my first college (and Ivy League!) interview, and even though it's just an alumni interview, I do want to do my best at it :)

Your khakis or black slacks are fine. You DON’T have to wear your school colors (maybe she was even joking). Wear nice casual. The interviewer is want to know what makes you tick: what has motivated you to do what you have done. Why you’d like to attend Cornell. How do people describe you. Will also ask if you have any questions. Prepare some like “tell me your fondest memory” or why most excited you about Cornell when you were a HS Senior" Did that prove to be true. Etc.

Really, just be yourself.
