Hi,
I've been hearing a lot of differing opions and claims about alumni interviews. Are they simply a standard part of the application process??

Or are some people (ex. people who the adcom wants to hear more about) called on to do an interview? anyone know general Proportion of applicant pool (ED) who get called for interviews?

also, around when do these interviews occur?? I would imagine before they make decisions, so sometime in November??

Princeton will contact you. They are a standard part of the admission process, and an interview is not awarded to those they deem particularly 'worthy,' meaning that most people will get an interview.

From what i've been told at information sessions, Princeton tries to interview everyone it can. If there is a Princeton Alumn in your area doing interviews, you will probably be called for one.

does anyone know if the interviewerd does a "closed book interview" (they dont have your app in front of them, or is the interview "open book"(the interviewr has access to your application)
