Alumni Interviews

An alumnus just contacted me to schedule an interview (I applied SCEA). Has this happened to anyone else?

Also, do you have any tips for me?

i just did one!
just be prepared to talk about why you love yale and your greatest accomplishment. my interview was about an hour but felt like 15 mins and was really like a conversation!
oh also, be prepared to ask a lot of questions

diehard--Check out my thread titled "RD Applicants: Interview Advice" where there is a ton of discussion about alumni interviews.

diehard...when did you submit your application

I submitted my app the first week in october, and I haven't gotten contacted for squat!!!!
I'm really angry, but I don't know if I should be...has this happened to anyone else??????

rockthwer--Why are you so angry? Anxious I can understand, but angry at the limited number of local volunteers who are nice enough to interview? If you submitted the first week of October, call Yale and ask for the name and phone number of your local Alumni Schools Committee director next week and then contact that person and ask for an interview. Be gracious with the ASC director. S/he is likely a very busy person with a job and a family.

Yeah, sorry, I'm not really angry...just exasperated maybe that I spent a lot of work to get it in early just to get an interview...(I went to an info session, and the interviewer there said that the best way to up your chances on getting an interview was to get it in early)
Thanks for the idea...I will definitely do that soon...
again, thanks

I submitted it this past Sunday.

diehard---where are you from?

The northern suburbs of Chicago.
