Alumni interviews?

I just had an AMAZING interview. The receptionist at the guy's law firm told me all the do's and don'ts...PLUS when i was waiting, i saw a comic strip (BC) that had YALE in it! So i gave it to my interviewer and it broke the ice. It was great :o) I hope i get in!

I just had a great interview!! I was at this guy's law firm too!! I saw that Yale comic!!!! (in the paper) I bet we had the same guy!!! He is awesome. That's enough !'s don't you think?

That's great to hear TJ and kstar :)

I hope everyone else has the same story to tell

I'm still anxiously awaiting a call from my interviewer!

Kstar....we probably did. Herzer? He was nice. When was your interview?

Ahhhh, when am I going to get a call? I need this interview...

I'm really anxious too, pre1321. One of my schools told me today that there aren't any alumni interviewers in my area, which was extremely disappointing. I'll be really bummed if I don't get a Yale interview too.

Is it weird to wear a suit to an interview at a coffee shop? I've been laboring over whether it is over-the-top...but i can't really find anything else semi-dressy that really looks extra-sharp...any suggestions? I thought of sweathers and dress pants....

khaki's, button down shirt, and a tie...thats really all you need

what are the girls wearing? My mom is adamant that a suit is not necessary (which is good, because I hate them anyway!), so...just a nice skirt?

ooh no we didn't have the same guy. I was with Hill. I just had my interview today. Strange coincidence, eh?

Oh I just wore black slacks and a nice sweater, it's not really a big deal.

I just had my interview today! Also showed my interviewer the B.C. comic. :) I wore a blouse. Not a huge deal. As long as you don't show up looking like a hobo.

I'm still waiting for my interviewer to contact me. =(
I really want an interview and I am already really excited about having one!
The ASC guidelines say interviewers should contact their interviewees by mid November. That would be today. Oh well, I can be patient....and wait a few more days. A FEW. =)

The guy fit me in the day before his report is due. Gosh he sounded intimidating...Yale B.A., Harvard Law. He's a US Attorney. I hope he doesn't cross-examine me or something.

My guy was a Yale B.A. and Harvard Law too! Hrm...

I wish Bill Clinton were my alumnus interviewer. that would be cool.

that being said, i haven't been contacted yet.

Do you think it would be wise to contact the head of my regional ASC? Maybe if I tell them that I haven't been contacted but I really want an interview then they'll try and fit me in with someone. It says on that ASC website that "apllicants are instructed to contact their ASC if they haven't been contacted by mid-November" but that might be old.

I am wondering the same thing.

Hmm.. My interviewer didn't take any notes on her pad during my interview, which I thought went very well. My friend had the same interviewer and he said she wrote a lot of notes. What do you guys think this means for me :)? I don't think it's a good thing, even though I thought it was a good interview.

I want my interview! I haven't been called yet. :(

Newt, maybe she was so interested and caught up in the interview by your amazing wit and intelligence that she completely forgot to take notes. :D
