<p>basically u would network with cornellians in ur field of study or interest. if u r an engineer major u wouldn't network with an art history alum, there would be no benefit to u</p>
<p>I am a Cornell alum living in a major metropolitan area. Practically every week I get e-mails announcing Cornell alumni-related events in my city. Many of these events are explicitly intended for networking purposes. And even the more social events would provide an excellent opportunity to meet older or younger alumni in my geographic area.</p>
<p>Cornell is quite good at this sort of thing.</p>
<p>I, too, am a Cornell alum, and I completely agree with Marian. There are also programs set up that allow students to learn from and network with alumni.</p>
