<p>so, i really want to go to dartmouth, and i am pretty sure i am applying early decision. </p>

<p>Stats:
GPA: 4.11 weighted
ACT: 31 (need to retake!!!) hoping for 33 like i got on mock test
4 years of varsity girls golf (letterman all 4 years), co-captain senior year
Varsity Cross COuntry Letterman one year
Outdoor leadership leader (3 years)<--this is leading 2 week freshman sessions of 20 people through team building exercises and ending with 3 day backpacking/spelunking trip
-taught inner city kids life lessons through the game of golf over the summer
-online editor for the school newspaper
-submitter and editor of literary magazine
-had art featured in the High Museum of Art Atlanta
taking AP Bio, AP U.S. Hist, AP Studio Art, AP English Lang, New Testament, and Calculus and Statistics senior year....</p>

<p>will an alumni rec (plus two teacher recs) from an alum who has been at literally every reunion since he graduated and donates every year, teaches at my school and really likes me as a student and a person help at all???? thanks so much....</p>

<p>Does this person have any specific knowledge of you as a student/scholar? If not, then it’ll be almost useless. Dartmouth is concerned about its students’ ability to contribute to the college community – not your luck in knowing an alum.</p>

<p>yes, sorry i didn’t elaborate. i have seen him as a mentor for 3 years now, and he has taught me english and done act prep with me. he recommended that i apply to Dartmouth because he knew how serious of a scholar i am. hope this helps</p>
