Alumni scholarship interview

<p>i received an e-mail telling me the date of the alumni interview in my city. it then proceeds to say:</p>

<p>"IF YOU ARE SELECTED FOR AN INTERVIEW, YOU WILL RECEIVE A TELEPHONE CALL BETWEEN MARCH 30TH – APRIL 5TH TO SET UP YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME. </p>

<p>GO BEARS !!!"</p>

<p>what is the purpose of sending this notice if it isn’t definite that you will have an interview? haha</p>

<p>Berkeley likes to do everything in bulk, so I suppose it saves everyone the hassle if they lump all the information in one letter. :-)</p>

<p>maybe they do it by area. they said interviews would be on the 9th in irvine. and i live in irvine. (they didn't say i got an interview. the letter says i would be called between march 30th-april 5th.)</p>

<p>Hmm...I haven't heard back from them either. Are we supposed to know whether we qualify for an interview by now?</p>

San Diego County will be interviewing 50-60 students prior to awarding 15-18 Alumni Scholarships. This is a very rewarding activity for any alum, but especially for our recent graduates. <p>When will I know whether or not I have received the Alumni Leadership Scholarship?
~You will absolutely know by April 25. We set this date so that you know the results of your scholarship application before the May 1 SIR deadline. We feel it is important to know whether you will be receiving this financial help before you make your college decision.</p>

<p>I also got that info. I'm from the huntington beach area of orange county. This is all it says:</p>

<p>I hope this means I'll get an interview! I know I got into Berkeley (they told people at their Regents interviews), and hopefully this means I will be selected for an interview. But then again, I don't want to get my hopes up.</p>
