<p>I got deferred from the same college that another girl I know got into. I found out that she had met with the alumni and that that had really helped her get in. How do you meet with alumni and how much does if affect your possibilites of being accepted? Thanks</p>
<p>How would you know "meeting with the alumni" helped get her in? That could mean several things:</p>
<p>She could have had an alumni interview
She could be a child of alumni </p>
<p>The second option would be much more likely to help you get accepted. I doubt meeting with a few alumni would make much difference in the admissions process.</p>
