Alumnus Rec? (Who taught me at Brown over the summer)

Hi! I was wondering if this would be worth including in my application to Brown.

This year, I took a contemporary literature course through Summer@Brown, and my teacher, a Brown alumnus, wrote me a rather… glowing (err, my mom started crying when she read it) performance review and suggested that I include it in my application. He talks very extensively and very specifically (naming specific assignments and incidents, etc) about my performance in class, leadership qualities, quality of writing (I want to study English) and more, but is it worth including? I mean, it was just from a two week summer program… thanks!

Definitely. Even though this teacher only knew you for two weeks, you clearly made an impression. It matters less that it’s from S@B and the professor was a Brown alum, and more that it’s clearly a great rec. Include it as a supplementary recommendation.
