Some of my professors don't give back exams during class, but welcome you to view them during office hours.

I spent countless hours studying for one midterm this semester, when the grades were posted online and I failed I was in disbelief. I went during office hours to view my exam.

The TA made a mistake and gave me an F when I deserved an A. I was outraged, but I didn't show any expression on my face. Now I want to know exactly who this person is to see if it was possible that the TA did it on purpose or if it was really a mistake.

Do you think that the TA should be fired? How often could this have happened? How often does it happen?

Yeah the professor changed the grade and apologized profusely. Online and on the first page of the exam, it said I got a 52/100. I went through all of the pages of the exam and only found 3 wrong answers.

I confirmed that each question was worth the same amount of points and showed up that I only missed 3 questions so my grade must have been calculated incorrectly.

The professor went through the exams of the other students and there were grading mistakes on 9 other exams. No excuse if you ask me, had I not gone to office hours the mistakes may have never been caught!

Wow, that is pretty inexcusable. The funny thing about it, it is good he made such a huge mistake. If he would have just messed up on a couple of questions you might not have checked.
